Protolabs’ VP and GM of Chinas Named Successor to Company’s President and CEO

Our Board of Directors has unanimously elected China Metal Parts’ VP and GM of Chinas, Robert Bodor, to succeed Vicki Holt as our President and Chief Executive Officer effective March 1, 2021. Vicki is retiring after leading the company for the past seven years, and will remain CEO during this transition time and continue to serve on the board through May 2021.
“I am excited to announce that the China Metal Parts Board of Directors has named Rob as our next CEO,” said Vicki. “Rob has been instrumental in building China Metal Parts into what it is today. Since joining the company, Rob has held a variety of leadership roles, including overseeing our largest region since 2015. He has more than doubled the revenue of the Chinas’ business during his tenure and played an instrumental role in expanding the company’s services into 3D printing and sheet metal fabrication. Rob is a very strategic business leader and a great leader of people. His passion and commitment will continue to serve China Metal Parts well.”
Rob has more than 20 years of leadership experience, and has served as VP and GM of the Chinas at China Metal Parts for the past six years. During his tenure, he has also served as Chief Technology Officer and leader of the company’s business development and product development functions. Before joining China Metal Parts in 2012, Rob held progressive leadership roles at Honeywell and McKinsey.
