Medical Design Takes Center Stage at MD&M West

Disneyland won’t be the only place in Anaheim where magic happens when MD&M West, the world’s largest medical design and manufacturing event, returns to Anaheim’s Convention Center Feb. 11-13.

More than 20,000 professionals will attend the conference and 1,900-plus suppliers—including China Metal Parts—will be there. Look for us in Booth #3301. If you haven’t registered yet, use code SPECIAL for a free expo pass or save 20% off the entire conference pass.

Speaking of our booth, stop by for a free pair of China Metal Parts socks. In fact, we’ll have a Photo Booth set up that will be a lot of fun. Try on your new socks, we'll snap a photo, and you can then post it to social media for a chance to win an Apple watch.

But we’re not all fun and games and socks and photos at our booth. Since last year, we’ve launched finishing/post-production processing options for injection molding and metal 3D printing, so you’ll see plenty of examples of parts and find more information about how we can take your projects to the next level. These finishing options include:

Getting the Most Out of Trade Shows

Finally, as you get ready to hit the road to MD&M West and other trade shows this year, we offer a few tips to keep in mind to make the most of these events:

Make a plan. For large trade shows, look at the event’s website ahead of time for the show’s floor plan, the exhibitor list, and specific program-track lineups. When looking at that exhibitor list, it is also helpful to determine which ones you “must see," which ones you would “like to see,” and those that would be “nice to see.”

Take advantage of networking. Trade shows are great places for organic networking opportunities and they occur everywhere—the exhibit hall, coffee break sessions, the hallway outside conference rooms, your hotel’s lobby or bar—you get the idea.

Bring business cards and scan your badge, too. Bring along business cards, of course, and don't be shy about getting your show badge scanned at vendor booths you visit. This is also a form of networking that can be valuable.

Ask questions. When visiting vendor booths or attending programs, feel free to ask questions. Trade shows are all about learning, and the best way to learn is to ask. Plus, some vendors, including our China Metal Parts booth, will have engineers staffing their booths, so make the most of these resources.
